Botshabelo District Hospital was opened in 1986. It is planned to be a flat structure which would be build in phases, it was only build up to 2nd phase that is 3 wards (Paediatrics consisting of 26 beds, Medical Wards- Male and Female each consisting of 34 beds.

 

The Hospital comprised of the following structures:

  • OPD
  • CASUALTY
  • MALE AND FEMALE

Total beds approved and in use 135. Bed occupancy 70% - 90%

POPULATION SERVED = 250 000

Monday – Sunday

Morning: 11H00 – 11H30

Afternoon: 15H00 – 16H00

Night: 19H00 – 20H00

  • Referral letter from Clinic/doctor
  • Correct address & Telephone numbers 
  • Name of family member

Hospital Fee

  • R20.00 Consultation 
  • R10.00 If Admitted 
  • For consultation and being admitted = R20.00 + R10.00 = R30.00
  • R119.00 for clients who are employed and on Medical Aid.

Unemployed please bring the following

  • UIF Certificate or affidavit from the police station

The Service is free for the following people:

  • Pensioners please bring proof of receiving pension i.e pension card or proof from the bank
  • Pregnant women and children under the age of 6 years
  • Disabled - please bring proof of disability/ doctors’ certificate
