St. Margaret’s Hospital is an 80-bed TB hospital and earmarked to have a further 40 MDR TB beds located in the Sisonke health district. Directions to St Margaret’s hospital.

 

We are a specialist TB hospital situated along the main road to Rietvlei/Kokstad.

The hospitals vision is to be the benchmark TB Hospital and a centre of excellence in the provision of optimal TB health care services to the Sisonke district community. This vision is supported by the mission and core values.

 

We are the satellite MDR TB hospital for the Sisonke district. We serve the entire Sisonke District as a referral hospital for TB patients and to keep MDR-TB patients. We ensure comprehensive health care provision for our patients, and speedy rehabilitation and reintegration into the community. St. Margaret’s Hospital does not have any peripheral clinics under its management.

Our hospital is situated very close (4km away) from the town of Umzimkulu. The basic facilities are located in the town, including banks, post-office, shops, supermarkets, furniture stores, take-aways, three petrol stations, car-washes, Steers, KFC, market area, police station, municipal offices, B&B’s, taxi rank, etc. The Umzimkulu Psychiatry Hospital is also situated close by. Durban is just 150km and PMB is only 90km away.
