Info: State Hospitals -Thusong Hospital - Itsoseng, North West Province, South Africa The Hospital Complex is situated in the Ditsobotla Local Municipality of the North-West Province in the Ditsobotla Health Sub-District of the department of health serving a population estimated at 149 737.The municipality is made up of Itsoseng, Lichtenburg, Coligny and Biesiesvlei. This is a largely rural community and thus the main economic activity is farming. There is also a small cement manufacturing sector but government remains the main source of employment. Thusong hospital is situated between Lichtenberg and Mafikeng on the R503 national road and the nearest township is Itsoseng. The hospital is a 300 bed facility but with 120 functional.
