Info: Hospice Palliative Care Association of South Africa (HPCA) MISSION STATEMENT To Promote quality in life, dignity in death and support in bereavement for all living with a life-threatening illness by supporting member hospices and partner organisations. The Hospice Palliative Care Association of South Africa (HPCA) is an Association incorporated under Section 21 of the Companies Act (Reg. No. 1986/001887/08). The Association was founded in February 1988 and is a membership organisation for South African hospices. HPCA has 7 regional association members from each province (W Cape, E Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Free State, N cape, NW Province) with the Association of Northern Hospices representing hospices in Gauteng, Limpopo and Mpumalanga. During the last decade HPCA has established national and provincial Palliative Care development structures aimed specifically and purposefully at support and capacity building of member hospices and more recently of partner organisations in terms of the provision of quality palliative care.
