Info: South African Society of Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition (SASPEN). The Society is active in the Southern African region, promoting nutrition research and all forms of nutritional education. There are also few subjects that are more misunderstood. A large proportion of the world population is either overnourished, or undernourished. Doctors and other medical staff are particularly guilty when it comes to malnourishing the people they are meant to care for. It is in this context that we believe that the Society has an important role to play in dispersing nutritional myths and promoting nutritional education. The SAJCN (South African Journal of Clinical Nutrition) is the official journal of SASPEN, ADSA (Association for Dietetics in South Africa) and the NSSA (Nutrition Society of South Africa). Distributed quarterly or 3 times a year, it covers ALL aspects of nutrition. It is an international, peer-reviewed journal that is distributed free of charge to all SASPEN, ADSA and NSSA members.
